For those of you looking for books by Sheila Roberts (http://www.sheilasplace.com), I am not at all certain that this is the same author. The 'about the author' on this book reads as follows:
"Sheila Roberts is a lecturer in the department of English at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is the author of Jacks in Corners, The Weekenders, He's My Brother and Outside Life's Feast, as well as two collections of short stories: Coming In and This time of Year."
None of these books are listed on Ms Robert's site above.
With this in mind, I did not feel that this is the standard 'Roberts' book. I truly enjoyed the faux pas Rowena has with relation to culture differences, but feel this was never really explained to my satisfaction. I hope you enjoy the book!
