I have been trying and trying to figure out a way to review this book without using the word "boring" but I just can't do it. Nothing else fits quite right. There aren't any glaring flaws in the plot and the writing is technically very good, if uninspired, but there just wasn't much to it. When reading a book that I intend to review I always hope for a strong reaction to it. Whether it's really positive or negative doesn't matter, I just want to get some emotion behind my reaction. It makes writing the review a lot more fun and, in my opinion, makes it more entertaining and informative to read. Unfortunately, in this case all I can say is that it was bland to the point of blah.
