This was a very good book! It was very creepy indeed, and although religious fanaticism usually bores me, this book had me glued to it. I thought the beginning started out a little abruptly and strange, and I was never really bought into the story, however it was extremely entertaining nonetheless. I thought it was interesting how the author made Christina/Leila feel compassion for Russell at times because I think many hostages would begin to feel mixed emotions toward their captors at some point. I expected more out of the ending. The last two pages disappointed me because I was waiting for some awful, gut-wrenching twist, but nothing happened. Overall, it was a good read!
