I didn't love this story. The H was an arrogant ass and treated the h horribly for a good part of the book. He judged her mercilessly and blamed her for the trouble his sister got into as a teenager. The h didn't have a great past and had had to resort to some nude modelling to help pay for her mother's medical bills. The H doesn't know her reasons and assumes she's a slut. Despite the fact that they knew each other 10 years before when the h was 17 and at school with the H's sister, the H has always thought the worst of her. He can't deny that he's attracted to her but he doesn't want her to be part of his sister's wedding. He is a big snob and thoroughly unlikeable and even after he sleeps with her for the first time, he still alludes to her being a slut when they talk afterwards about the possibility of her being pregnant. If he thought her such a slut one would imagine he would have been extra careful. I also thought the subplot with the sister was a bit illogical because she could have been honest and cleared things up for the h with the H. She was selfish and never explained anything despite continuing her close friendship with the h for the intervening 10 years. The Christmas part was hard too because of the way the H reacted to the h's surprise of having a homely Christmas.
