I truly enjoyed this book! There is a bit of psychic phenomena (ghost of a girl and her dog that are long dead), the satyr that seems to be guarding, or maybe haunting, the yard next door to or heroine, the stray dog, the strange woman in the woods, and the strange death of the lady in the house with the satyr. The book could be a "cozy" mystery, but with the strange happenings it is different. Cressa, our heroine, has just moved back to the town where she grew up and moved into an old Victorian neighborhood and is looking for work as a teacher so she has some time on her hands. There is a hint of romance with the handsome cop and the newspaperman both vying for her attentions. What more can I say? There is enough going on all the time that there is not a boring moment in the book! This was my first Dorothy Bodoin and I had to run out and get another of her books.
