40-something homemaker Carolyn Blue is through with cooking and cleaning. She's finally decided to throw in the dish towel - and take on a dream job as a food writer. Now her plate is filled with exotic locales, delectable foods, and even a dash of crime - to taste.

The action takes place in Barcelona, Spain. While her husband is on an academic lecture nearby, Carolyn opts to spend time in the city, soaking up the sights and visiting her friend roberta. Her first feast is for the eyes - at a modern art museum where Roberta is a resident Miro scholar. There, she catches a performance art piece about death, planted a little too firmly in reality. Once of the actors is not acting.

I really enjoyed this book, there were lots of details about art and Barcelona. I recommend it.
