Entertaining all around! From the unique heroine with the unusual childhood, to the rake desperate for his own man cave, to the relentlessly morbid children in his care. It's funny and with just the right amount of wittiness that sounds natural, not outrageous, if a little modernized. A treat for the romantic reader who has squirreled away a fantasy or two about their own handsome stranger and chance meetings. 4 stars.
