What a fascinating concept...what a dissapointing execution. This novel is really disjointed. I struggled to finish it and was very dissapointed by the anticlimactic and abrupt ending. Many of the key elements of the plot are left unresolved. Very unsatisfying! It maybe would have worked better as a series of short stories. Enjoy it purely for the nostalgia of the classic films it describes, and the interesting bits of the character's life that are associated with each film.
