This is a long book. Long. The first couple of hundred pages all take place at the wedding. A lot happens after that, new characters appear, old characters reappear, quite a bit of action.Though it is long, you get caught up in it, as usual, with Diana Gabaldon books, and you may just forget you are living in the 21st century.
