Fresh off preventing a global pandemic, FBI Special Agent James Mason is ready for a break. However, there Is no rest for the weary. While wrapping up loose ends from his last case, his team discovers a pair of bodies behind a false wall. A cryptic message consisting of a string of numbers is beside one of them. As Mason continues to investigate, new clues emerge and a new enemy is discovered, one who holds a grudge going back decades. They go by the name âScarecrowâ and are planning a chemical attack which will kill millions. As the bodies pile up, time is running out for Mason and his team to find Scarecrow and prevent the attack.

âThe Annihilation Protocolâ by Michael Laurence is book #2 in the âExtinction Agendaâ series. I enjoyed this book even more than the first one . Laurence has again assembled a cast and devised a plot that are both entertaining and plausible. This book does a much better job of providing background on the bad guy, which makes the plot much easier to follow. I see tremendous potential for this series and gladly give this book 4/5 stars.
