I rate the book based on the original source material in it. The typeset and binding is the only reason i don't give it 5 stars. It is a good read and full of street knowledge from a guy who has been there. Gary Wean is the witness to and victim of a usurpation of authority by judicial power under the color of law.
I have no credentials to make such a claim other than having come face to face with the personalities in Ventura County myself. This was during a run for U.S. Representative in CA's 24th congressional district in 2006.
The former DA in Ventura County, (at the time Gary Wean was going through his ordeal) was the campaign manager for the incumbent Congressman when i was confronted by legal wranglings in 2006.
Wean names names and sets himself up for criticism and being antisemitic by naming names in the context he does. I will let you discover for yourself what he is bird-dogging in hopes of you drawing your own conclusions. I don't agree with all of them.
Professional investigators can sort through it all because Wean wrote the book from the position of being a professional investigator, not only a victim.
This book lists at the moment for over $1500 and was, at the time of it's publishing and original circulation, touted as thee most stolen book from the Ventura County Library System.
Many things touched upon by Wean remain unresolved. Wean has been clear is his testimony. I leave with you connecting the dots he has laid out in this one of kind book.
p.s. Hints: "Lincoln Lawyer," "Dismissed with Prejudice" and "Life stretch in county jail for 1st drunk driving."
