I was not a fan of this book. I expected this to be interesting and heartfelt. But, in reality, I found the mother incredibly creepy. I mean, if I were her kid, I'd have sued for emancipation at age 5! On top of that, the ending was terribly done. I know this is fiction ... but, even in fiction, there should be a realistic continuity. The ending was so contrived, so unrealistic, and just terribly done all over. I honestly don't understand the hype surrounding this book.
