Read this book on the plane when I was being shipped out to Germany for my first tour of duty. LOVED this book! A whodunit of sorts, the story is well-paced, leaving me to say to myself "Just one more page" before getting some sleep. The protagonist/narrator is autistic, giving the reader a different, more logical way of looking at the plot itself as it unfolds. It takes a lot of skill on the author's part to make a character that you don't THINK you'd identify with, lovable and endearing. I cared about this guy and worried about him at some points, and laughed out loud and nearly cried at others. My mum once asked me "If you could only loan out ONE book to everyone you met, which book would it be?"

This is the book.
