This book begins with an intriguing mystery, which every government agency that hears of it simply must investigate. Naturally, competing interests and agendas quickly combine to fuel an unforeseen, violent confrontation that catapults not only the intended target of the investigation into deadly peril, but everyone around him as well. And as usual, the federal government's role quickly supersedes all other authority, and soon turns a debacle into a bloody disaster.
Fans of William W. Johnstone will recognize his favorite themes of courage, self-reilance and defying over-reaching authority in this fast-paced page-turner.
