Well, it was a good idea, but, it did not work. I was quite shocked at the emphasis on the physical relationship between the two characters. While I was curious, this took up a good two-thirds of the book! It was just too much. Much of it made me blush. The author (a Christian) could have left most of that up to our imagination. What I really wanted to do was to find out what was in Darcy's head, and where the author approached this, she did quite well. Although, at times there was a one-dimensional feel to these originally complex characters. The plot took forever to get going, and then took some weird, and some very predictable turns.
All in all, I think that my own imagination at what might have happened to Elizabeth and Darcy was much more satisfying than Ms. Lathan's conclusions. I don't think I'll read the sequel (if there is one).
