i did not really care for the book...it is childish but not for children...it promises to bring on gales of laughter yet i never even chuckled once....it is not interesting and i read the whole book in 3 days to just get it over with...while i understand it is a memoir of true life events you would think that Augusten would be a little more sympathic to mental illness than he is...there is a lot of TMI and it is irrelevant to the story...there is also things that i am not sure i truly believe but were more like in there for "shock value"...i am very disappointed in this book and will not be in any great hurry to pick up another book by this author...
