The beginning of the book grabbed my interest and held it long enough to ensure that I would read to the end, even though the last 200 pages were brutally dull and disjointed. I didn't realize the book was Christian fiction for a while (random references to church seemed out of place until I caught on). A few more hard edits would have made a big difference. Mediocre at best.
