Darcy became a vampire against her will (she was being saved after an attack by an evil vampire) and ends up falling in love with a mind reading vampire slayer named Austin. It takes Austin a while to figure out she is a vampire because everytime he tries to read her mind all he gets are pictures of sun, beach, etc (of course all these warm thoughts are Darcy thinking about Him...lol)
