  Inside out and upside down
Long lost in the vast sea
Swirling, swirling, all around
Is what it’s like to be me

Twisted like the vines on the wall
Covered with long, sharp thorns
Icy cold in the spring and the fall
Cloudy on many a morn

Always at war, even in peace
With emotions that are not real
These tears that fall, they will not cease
I’m not sure what to feel

Inside out and upside down
Long lost in the vast sea
Swirling, swirling, all around
Is what it’s like to be me.
