  Since the news on T.V. doesn’t quell me,
I need sharp NPR wit to spell me.
I take my morning bagel
With Kasell and Sagal,
And the panel on Wait Wait ... Don’t Tell Me!

I love NPR too. I think you should email this to them. Perhaps they'll read it on air (they often read listener mail).

Funny you should say so, Claudia: I played the Listener Limerick Challenge on "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" last March, and won Carl Kasell's voice "on my home answering machine". I asked them to have Carl read my limerick, and now I use it for my cel phone voice mail! ;-)

Roger-- It's great to hear that you shared this with NPR and they had the good sense to appreciate it. Too bad, I must have missed that particular broadcast. Your limericks are clever and fun. Keep up the good work!
