  The sky is painted crimson-gold
with swords of orange and red
And clouds of cotton candy pink
form above my head.

The sun is setting on the hills,
its golden warmth is gone.
Tomorrow morning it will bring
a new day with the dawn.

And as it slowly sinks and fades,.
I wish a fond farewell,
'cause what tomorrow has for me,
only time can tell.

Denise, I enjoyed your poem a lot. Especially the part about the cotton candy pink clouds, and the golden warmth. Nice rhyming too. Cathie

Very nice. You brought a new beginning out of an ending and reminded us of the continuity of Nature and life.
