I’m waiting for someone who couldn’t exist
Waiting for someone different than me
Looking in the mirror at what might be missed
Helplessly looking for what couldn’t be.

She in the mirror is mocking my existence
She in the mirror is better then me
But I am trying with unending persistence
Trying to be better then what I can see.

I am looking at she who takes all the glory
I am looking at she who is greater than me
Mine is the forgotten story
I fear a story that no one shall see.

For she in the mirror is fighting to stay
She in the mirror has now become me
Help me keep this being at bay
This being stronger than me

I am fighting the battles that are inside
I am fighting to some day be free
I’ll win against what could never abide
So that I shall again be me

I wish I had never been fooled by another
I wish I could hide who tried to be me
But I don't think I'm able to run from the other
The other who never should’ve been me.
