Release your fingers
Heaven dweller
Drop the night on me

Sky shine lingers
Heaven dweller
But wish I not to see

It was early that I awoke
Only that the sooner might I sleep
But promise holds the dusk above me
My peace in its keep

So release your fingers
Heaven dweller
Drop your night on me

I like the recurring "drop your night on me"; I interpret this as a prayer. Is that where you are going?

somewhat- the narrator of the poem is depressed, but has faith thanks for your comment :)
