  Cigarettes and Sex

You’ve become so addictive
Like those damn cigarettes
I get the cravings I just can’t ignore
I need more time, I need another hit

It gets unbearable when I can’t have a hit
When I can’t see you, when I can’t have you
When I can’t be held tight in your arms
Why are you so damn addictive?

No matter how hard I try
Your face haunts my dreams,
Your touch haunts my memories
I just can’t quit without another fix

I can’t just let you go cold turkey
There aren’t any patches to wean you away
You’re not like a cigarette
I can’t just through your memories away

I can’t just drop you like a habit
I can’t just wish you away
I can’t just put you out, but
I can go on with life in every other way,
I can pretend
