The book begins slowly, but don't do what I almost did and stop listening. All the details at the beginning begin to weave together into one of the most engaging stories I've listened to in a long time.

In addition to the characters which ate well-developed--no one dimensional people in this story-learning about the culture was absolutely fascinating.

I recommend this book. In fact I'm wondering if I shouldn't just keep it instead of posting it for someone else.

This audiobook was my first experience with this series and with this author. I was very impressed with both. The story is very engaging. You get to hear about many small cases that Precious works on, but they are tied together so that the reader ends satisified with the complete story.

Well--almost. The end has a big cliff hanger that makes you want to have the next book immediately available. I can't wait to find the next one and listen to it.

The narrator is wonderful. There are a lot of words in this book that I would personally find hard to pronounce, but this narrator does it flawlessly. And her voice is soothing and easy to listen to.

I highly enjoy the audio books of this No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency due to the rich voice of the narrator and Alexander McCall Smith weaves a colorful story in the setting of Botswana. All of the characters are a joy to follow within the series.

I really liked this book, and it was very close to the HBO special. I would love to see all the books in this series.
