Until 9/13, enter coupon code NINETY at checkout for 90% off gift certificates. At $1 for a $25 certificate, you can start your Christmas shopping early!

Restaurant.com

(Recipients can pick their own restaurant from their location - how cool is that?)

These really work - it's how we afford to eat out. The minimum purchase depends on the restaurant, most of the ones we go to require a $35 purchase to use a $25 certificate. We look at prices and if the tab is going to be short, order something to go that we can have for lunch the next day.

I'm new to PBS, but an old-timer on Restaurant.com.  I just want to say that I LOVE that site.

I only buy certificates when they are on sale for 80 or 90% off.   (You can always do a google search to find the current code, usually offered the last half of a month, although they can appear other times.)  It allows DH and I to have date night at some nice restaurants for about $20 when you add in the cost of the certificate, the amount required over the certificate value, and tip.   In my area, the restaurants are all locally owned.  I've also bought certificates to use when we travel.  We're going to Chicago next week, and I'm looking forward to some nice meals out.
