It's possible that the #2 person removed it from their WL because it was acquired elsewhere or the person is no longer interested in the book.

There is a chance that it was posted directly to that person, but I doubt it with at WL of only 2. It's far more likely to have been removed from the WL of the second wisher.

How do you know it was posted?

It may have been a slightly different version of the same book...different edition/format/etc.

Or it could have been posted directly to the other person's wishlist.

If you looked at the Books Posted Today and then looked at your place on the wish list for the book, these are the possibilities that spring to mind (some of them have already been mentioned):

(1) the book posted today was the same title but not the same ISBN as you have on your Wish List

(2) the book posted today WAS the same ISBN as you have on your Wish List, but it was offered to the #1 person and you were actually #2 at that time.  Now you are showing as #1 because the previously #1 person got offered this copy.  The Books Posted Today has a lag time before the posting shows up on the page.

(3) the book posted today was posted directly to someone else's (not your) Wish List

(4) the book posted today was posted to a bookshelf that is on hold (not sure if those show up on Books Posted Today or not)
