Marcia, the only forum in which it is appropriate to post an individual thread for deals is the Book Bazaar.  Please see this section from the Help Center:

Topics advertising your bookshelf should NOT be started in any forum but the Book Bazaar. Keeping "deals" and the like confined to the Book Bazaar not only unclutters the other forums, but also allows members who post deals to be sure that their deal is seen, and members who seek deals to find them. We have created enough forums to allow a place for anything our members might like to discuss.

In the genre forums, such as this one, PBS has created a stickied thread at the top of the forum, called Book Deals, Offers, Bookshelf Promotions.  So if you want to promote books in a specific genre, THAT is where you post your deals.  Please do not start a new thread to advertise your deals.
