Lots of cheap tricks--many of which look cheap. The basic advice in this book is spend money on paint and fabric, and then declutter and paint your own artwork. Lots of gimmicky, made-for-TV things in the examples.

This book is easy to read and has lots of good tips on decorating. It's very self-promoting but otherwise all right if you're looking for tips.
