Has anyone gotten the $114 ad-supported Kindle yet?  I'm really considering getting one. I've accumulated a lot of free books on my iphone app.  But I don't think an e-reader will ever be my primary source of reading material.  (yea, yea....I know they all say that before they get one!)  So I'm wondering how intrusive the ads are, and are the Special Offers worth it?  How often do the ads and offers change?

Wish I had one!  They were just offered a $20 eGift card for Only $10!!   They take the place of the dead Authors!  You DONT see that ads when your reading. 

Mine is due to come in the mail today.  I am soooo excited.  Can't wait to get it.

Update:  Just got my Kindle in the mail.  I already got my first deal too.  I got the amazon gift certificate 20.00 for 10.00.  Yay!!!! I have already downloaded 8 books.  I am having a blast.

I got my mom one for mothers day and she loves it.  The ad at the bottom of the home page doesn't really bother since there was just a blank space there before plus you get great deals.  Its not that difficult to ignore either.  Then you get better screen savers no more crappy fish or dead authors my mom loves her olay ads.  Plus I got a new album for $1 and I bought Water for Elephants with my visa and Got $10 amazon ecard added to my account.  So far its working out great.  And the reading part is the same as the regular kindle.
