Incidentally, I've ordered the same book before and pbs has let me do it.  I got a message saying something like "you've already ordered this book; are you sure you want another copy?" but it let me do it.  I wonder why they changed it.  Wierd!

Brenda I think it lets you after you've received the book but not while it's still in 'transaction'

 I would also be happy to order one for you.  Send me your address and I'll order one for you.  Actually, I think that you just need to send me your address and then let me know when the book I ordered for you arrives so I can notify the sender about its arrival and then I will get my credit for it.  If you buddy me a credit, I will end up having gotten two of them for the one book, because you do have to acknowledge the book's arival and then you get the credit.  Did all of this make sense?  I have done this stuff before.

Winston, I think you've got things a bit mixed up. The SENDER gets the credit for the book they send, not you. So, it would cost you a credit to have the book sent to someone, which means that unless you want to cover it, you would need a credit buddied to you.

thanks so much for everyone's help. i was surprised i didn't get responses from people who actually had the book. i guess they don't read the forums.  the system said the book had to be sent (or received?) to order another copy.  i didn't know there would be a limit on the #of books to order since it's not a wl book. it's bad though for those 12 people who could have gotten a credit, until you came up with this plan. i would never have thought of it. we would have gone elsewhere to buy the copies. 

to those i pm'd: if you can't order the book, pm me. otherwise if everyone would let me know when they order their copy i'd appreciate it. i need them by the 3rd mon. in nov. & this way i'll know if they'll all be here it time.

ETA: Ok, you have to spell out Township Road and it will accept it.

Yeah,  Alisa, it happened to me too. And I copied and pasted to be sure it was correct too. I'm now waiting for a response from the OP verifying the address.
