I received a large collection of lovely needlework books from a dear old friend who is in poor health and can no longer ply her needle. They range from books about embroidery, cross-stitch, crewel, etc., to books on the history of needleworking, samplers and more. I have 13 of them posted on PBS (about 25 were claimed as I was posting them over the last several weeks).  Almost all are in perfect, as-new condition, most dustjackets are in Brodart covers.

The reason I didn't post them ALL on PBS is that many are large, heavy hardcovers with lots of glossy pages & pictures and thus would cost more in postage than the credit is worth. Some are quite rare and valuable. If you'd like to look at the entire collection, see my Amazon "storefront" where I have about 50 additional needlework books posted. My Amazon name is "49759" and the link to storefront is:
http://www.amazon.com/shops/A3HRSCUXB1T52Y
All the books should have images and descriptions both there, and here on PBS since  I took the time/opportunity to edit the book info if the PBS detail page was blank.  I'll happily give a shipping discount to any PBS'er -- just send a message to me here.

It makes my friend smile to hear that her treasured books are going to "good homes" -- namely the homes of happy stitchers!

PS I'll gladly extend 2-for-1 credit for any non-stitching books on my bookshelf. Also, I am a Boxer but I have Boxer status suspended right now because I don't want to "discount" these needlework books.

Please send me a message if you have questions. Thanks.

PS I sure hope that mentioning Amazon is not violating any PBS policy, but I did review the rules and don't see anything preventing it.
