I am a HS mom and I was just wondering what would be some good books to get for a 1st grade boy to read or for me to read to him? I am at a loss and any suggestions would be appreciated.

Book series such as Hello Reader, Scholastic Reader, Step Into Reading, I Can Read etc..  Level One and Two books in these series for him to read.

Also, Frog and Toad books!!

For you to read to him.....any interesting children's books!  Early chapter books such as Junie B. Jones are great read-alouds too!

I would 2nd the Junie B Jones books.  They are really funny!  You could read out loud to him the Magic Treehouse Series.

I've thought about the Magic Treehouse to read to him. Never thought about Junie B though. I guess I will give it a try. Thanks for the info.
