Somebody requested one of my books, at the same time, they sent me a pm saying that they are suppposed to get 2 books for 1 credit from me, and named the second book she wanted me to send. LOl, I am not about to send her 2 books for 1 credit. I sent her a pm back stating that I had no idea what the hell she was talking about. Haven't heard back from her yet, lol. I am tempted to just refuse the request for the one book, just cause she is trying to get 2 for 1 credit. What do all of you think ?

Thanx !

She probably just got you mixed up with someone who is offering a 2 for 1 deal. Just explain to her nicely about the mix up and all should be well. You're certainly not obligated to send 2 for 1 if you weren't offering the deal.

The person was probably responding to an offer in the Book Bazaar forum and ordered from FIFO by mistake. Just send a polite PM explaining that you aren't offering 2-for-1... was there an offer in the bazaar she was responding to? If so, she accidentally ordered from FIFO instead. Ask HER to please cancel her order, so you can keep your place in the FIFO line to send out your book. (If you cancel, you'll go to the end of the line when you repost the book to your shelf.)

ETA: This happens quite often. It's very easy to order from the book description page rather than directly from a person's shelf. So don't take it personally. :)

Do you happen to have both books? What a coincidence.  I would do like the others said.

Mary, I was thinking that perhaps the person chose the second book while browsing under the "Order more books" option?

Vince - seeing that this is your first post in the forums, I am wondering if you are aware of the Book Bazaar. If not someone talking about a 2 for one deal could come as quite a surprise. No need to worry or get upset, offering deals like 2 or 3 for 1 is allowed and quite common on PBS. Just politely let the person know that if they were ordering a 2 for 1 deal from the Book Bazaar, they ordered from FIFO instead of that person's shelf and they need to cancel the order and go back to that person's shelf to order; you are not offering any deals at this time.

I sent her a pm back stating that I had no idea what the hell she was talking about.

As others have already explained, this is probably a mixup from the Book Bazaar and this person surely has made a mistake.   I have to say, I really hope you were more polite than what you stated above.   She already did something for which she is sure to be embarassed, being jumped on about it is highly unlikely to help the situation..
