I'm offering 2 for 1 to the first person who requests a book from me.

Thanks

Dawn

I'm trying to figure out why I don't get any takers ... can someone help me out?

Thanks,

Dawn

Dawn, It could be that you have a small and rather limited shelf. A little more variety would give folks more to chose from. Also, the Stephen King books are tiny, and most folks won't order them individually.

Just trying to help :)

I can maybe offer another reason why - you have a lot of Grisham on your shelf and there are tons in the system. They're tough to move because, while they are popular books, there are just so darned many of them so you have to wait a long time for your turn to  come around in the FIFO. Same with many of the King books.

If I were you, I'd hit garage sales, FOL (Friends of the Library) places, Goodwill or what-have-you to beef up your shelf and apeal to a wider range of people. Right now I consider myself having a small shelf of only 60-some-odd books.  I've done a couple deals lately and cleared out tons of books so before I figure I'm going to get too many more orders I'm going to have to beef up my own shelf.

Another couple of ideas, come post in the forums and let people get to know you. That will help as well. I tend to order directly from shelves of those people in the forums.

And lastly, 2/1 deals are kind of going by the wayside in favor of 3/1. The postage is pretty much to same to mail three books. If you look at the others offering 2/1 you'll see they don't have too many takers either and if they do, I'm betting they have have a fairly large shelf.

Hope that helps.
