I was wondering if there was a place on or near the listed books on my list to note the condition of the books....

Like for Example one book was sent to me bent it is a paperback and all pages are tight no tears just somehow very bottom of book is bent.

The other one the cover is coming loose off the binding with a little tear at the bottom. But other then that book is in great shape.

So not sure what to do I want to be honest and let anyone interested know.....

Books that are unpostable cannot be posted to your bookshelf, period.  There is no way to note  the condition on your shelf, and PBS rules state that any book posted to your shelf must meet posting guidelines.

That said, the first book you mentioned sounds like it is postable.  Bent pages are not against posting guidelines.  The other one is questionable- tears up to 1/2 inch are OK.  If the binding is separated though, that's unpostable.

You can always offer unpostable books free with another order.  If the books are WLed, there is a thread in the Book Bazaar where you can offer unpostables and still ask a credit for them.  There are also WL threads in some of the genre forums where you can do the same.

There's no place to list book conditions.

I personally would look at the Criteria for Swappability and try to determine if the book is swappable.

If swappable, just post it, and when requested, send. Some might advise PMing the requestor first.

If unswappable, try to offer it in the Book Bazaar (where conditions can be described, and should be for unpostable books.)

From your description it sounds like Book #1 might be postable, and Book #2 is not, but only you (with the books in hand) can really decide.

Hope that helps.

Just wanted to note that tears in a cover can be up to 1" not 1/2 inch mentioned. Separation from the binding isn't allowed, but if it is peeling from wear and tear, that would be allowed up to the 1 inch tear.

Here is the Help Center postability criteria for the cover and binding:

Cover:

  • Must both be present (front and back)
    • note that a paperback missing its front cover is  usually an illegal, unsold copy
    • "cover" does not = dust jacket.  Hardcovers do not need to include their dust jackets to be swapped here.
  • Cover not water damaged (there may be no water damage to any part of the book)
  • Cover not torn or chewed/gnawed
    • some used book stores cut out a small part of the cover; if the amount missing is less than 1 square inch, this is OKAY
    • a small rip (less than 1 inch) in the cover is OKAY
    • yes, that does say "chewed/gnawed" above.  That means no pet-chewed (or human-chewed) books.
  • A bookplate inside the cover or on the flyleaf is OKAY

Binding:

  • Must be intact, with no separation on the inside or outside of the book
  • If the book tends to open at a particular page, this is OKAY
  • Small amount of fraying or denting at top or bottom is OKAY
