"The Sacred Blood" by Michael Byrnes - this is the follow up book to  The Sacred Bones

Anyhow............I just bought them last month in Canada - paperback - but I can't post them as they will not accept the ISBN #'s

I know folks would grab these as they are 2 popular authors and brand new releases.

What do I do to get them posted?             Thanks to anyone who can help me!

Hi Trish, since the ISBNs are not recognized by the database you can use the No ISBN option.  There is a link for that on the Post Books page.  You'll have to enter the book info, but it doesn't take long.  Then, if you like, you can go to the Book Bazaar forum and post that they are "different ISBN" WL books on your shelf.  (well, I assume they are WL?  you can post about it in BB either way)

I only looked at the 1st one and there's short WL for the versions of that one.

I would post them without an ISBN and then tag the WL versions with the ISBN that PBS gives your book. I had to do that this week when  a WL book I had came up with the wrong binding.  I had tradesize and the listing said mass market paperback.  I tagged the mmp version with the 5 digit ISBN that PBS gave mine. It was ordered within a day-probably just from being in the Books Posted Today listing.

(now this reminds me to delete my tags).

ETA: You could also post them in the Is This On Your WL thread in the Mystery/Thriller board. You might find someone who wants both and doesn't care that the ISBN's don't match.  You can't just pick a WL version and post them and send them out that way though.

Here's an example of 2 that I posted without ISBNs.  My Hardcover ISBNs were reused and now the ISNBs say the books are paperbacks.  I posted the Hardcovers without an ISBN and added a tag “Available in HC under different ISBNs #nnnnnn”:  You can click the books and the tags below to see what it looks like.  The tag gives your book more exposure.

Desired  Author: Virginia Henley    Tag = Available In HC under ISBN: 202968

Enticed  Author: Virginia Henley    Tag = Available In HC under ISBN: 202967

Another thing to do is to search by the ISBN number, then wait about 6 hours for the system to update.  The system automatically searches for new data on new numbers.  This often happens when you try to WL a book before it is published.  I run a search before bed and then am able to post /WL in the morning.

Also check the number that is on the inside of the book.  On PBs it is inside the front cover.  On HBs, it is on the copyright page.

ISBNs from other countries won't be in the database (although many books are sold in the U.S. and Canada under the same ISBNs), but you should be able to enter them on the Post Books page, click the Check button, and get taken to the blank page that lets you fill in the book details. What are the ISBN numbers on your books?

You can add books where the system says (in a green box): "this is a valid number, but we have no information" - you would need to fill in all of the details yourself.
