1.  have both of my knees replaced with artifical ones which scares me to death as the last surgery I had in 2002 didn't leave me in a very good way.  Ended up spending 48 days in the hospital with staph infection, lost my spleen, gall bladder, got implural infision, had 3 blood tranfusions and died briefly 3 times.  But it is either surgery for new knees or a wheelchair and I told myself no wheelchairs.

2.  have all my teeth pulled because the medicine from the 2002 surgery rotted them all and get new dentures.

3.  move out on my own as I have been living with one of my sons since the death of my husband in 2003 and it is time to start living again.

I learned a long time ago that making resolutions meant that ultimately I would experience a let-down.  I have learned instead to set goals, and reward myself for achieving those goals.  This sets up a series of positive reinforcement that is much more effective.
