This challenge is to see how many cozies you read June -December in the different categories. It is just challenging yourself. Our main Mystery challenge in this forum has many other categories for historical mysteries, police procedurals etc. This challenge is for those fun cozy mysteries. Here is a PBS list of Cozy mysteries. So create you own topic below so you can record you cozy list. Read 1-3 in each category 1 = bronze medal, 2 = silver medal, 3 = gold medal.

Lynn, it's been determined that Aaron Elkins MC Gideon Oliver would count for the male MC. I've discovered Mike Belefer's Geezer series. The MCis a retired auto parts store owner that seems to stumble on dead bodies wherever he goes. Also found this great site http://www.cozy-mystery.com/Cozy-Mysteries-by-Themes.html On the left is a column with cozy mysteries by theme and down near the bottom is male characters.

I'm reading Moving Day / Jonathan Stone. On the Cozy Mystery List the person who does all that work has this listed as a cozy. On Amazon it's listed as a thriller. A couple have all their possessions stolen. The husband figures out a way to find them and get them back. Okay, cozy so far. Then the main crook figures that the old man did it. He in turn kidnaps him and the ransom is all the stuff. It jut doesn't have a cozy "feel" to me. I've had it on my list, taken it off, put it back and it's off again. Who knows when I finish it I may refute all this and say oh yeah, this was a cozy. Nope, not a cozy as far as I'm concerned. The beginning is on the cozy side but once the household is stolen the tone of the book changed and became a bit stronger with kidnapping, memories of WWII in Poland and a gruesome at the end.
