This book along with other produced by Elder and Paul are great antidotes to self-delusion, selfishness, corporate media indoctrination, as well as useful for self-exploration through the application of fundamental critical thinking principles. Every day for 25 days, readers will actively work through an idea. Examples include the idea to "Learn to Empathize with Others", "The Day to Discover your Ignorance", "Get Control of your Emotions", "Stop Blaming Your Parents", and "Question, Question, Question". Included after discussion of each idea, there are a set of questions and suggestions to help readers through the process. The ultimate aim of the book is to show you how to improve your thinking to improve your life. "Only through thinking can you change whatever it is about your life needs changing (even parts you don't know need changing). Only through thinking can you take command of your future." I have asked my students to work through these ideas in my World Cultures class, and the feedback from them is very positive. Now, I need to stop procrastinating and start working through them immediately in earnest.
