I retired at the end of May after 36 years of teaching.  I want to clear out books.  Hope to send them to good homes or schools.

All books except for one are First Start Easy Readers.  They all have a name written in the upper right corner of the front cover, some also have a number written near the name or a sticker with a number.   Other than that they meet PBS posting criteria.  I used them in my small groups.

If interested in any books, PM me.  You may mix & match or get 4 copies of one title if available.  Book titles are listed below with number of copies available in parenthesis.

1.  Apple Picking (6)

2.  Big Red Fire Engine (6)

3.  Dinosaur in Trouble (6)

4.  Elephant in Trouble (6)

5.  Friendly Snowman (4)

6.  Freddie the Frog (6)

7.  Home for a Puppy (4)

8.  Mike’s New Bike (5)

9.  Muffy and Fluffy (4)

10. My Secret Hiding Place (4)

11.  Pete the Parakeet (6)

12.  Ready, Set, Go (5)

13.  Show and Tell (4)

14.  Skating on Thin Ice (5)

15.  Susie Goes Shopping (4)

16.  Tree House Fun (4)

17.  What a Dog (5)

18.  Willie the Slowpoke (5)

19.  Let’s Get a Pet (1)

20.  Worms (1—Rigby)

Hi I'm interested in you're books, but what grade did you teach? I can't tell what reading level they are for. My neice just finished kindergarten, and is reading Step Into Reading (Early readers) Level 1 & 2 books. Will these books be too easy for her? I'm trying to encourage her reading, but I don't want her to get bored and finish it too quickly because it's too simple. Please help me figure out if this is suitable.

Thank you for your help,

Kellie- Proud Aunt of Emma

I used the books with 1st grade students.  In the front of most of the books is a list of the words used in the books - between 30 and 60 words used in the book.   So the vocabulary is controlled.  Pages have 1 or 2 sentences which is supported by the picture.  These are probably comparable to Level 1 of Step into Reading & Hello Reader books.
