Happy New Year! Although this book gets 271 five star reviews on Amazon, I felt that his diet plan was only for the obsessive-compulsive personality type! Basically he advocates a marathon runner's diet-- a huge amount of daily protein (200 grams per day) but no bread, sugar, fruit, or dairy products until the weight is off. I'm sure this would work for a short period of time but obviously it can;t be healthy for more than a few weeks. If you just want to drop five to ten pounds this might be a good way, but I am not a big meat eater so it wasn't for me.
If you are looking for a very pleasant and easy diet I recommend Carrie Latt Wiatt's Eating by Design. I lost 12 pounds with this book and was very happy with the diet and able to stay on it because it matched my lifestyle; I have now kept the weight off for more than five years.
