At the time this book was released Bill Novelli's views were timely. Some of the information is now a bit dated, for example the part about health care reform. Overall though this is a good book with ideas that are definitely worthy of consideration. The boomers are an amazing generation, so unlike our parents. Novelli observes that we are healthier and much more active than adults 60 years ago, and coupled with advances in technology the fact that we're working longer and living longer demands different things of our society. He wisely points out that the boomer generation is the group with the power and wisdom to effect those changes.
