Brian - you cannot offer anything other than PBS postable books for PBS credits.

Melanie, these are still books, albeit unpostables. Others offer unpostable books for credits. How is this different?

ETA: Excerpt from Rules of the Bazaar:

(3) No selling books for anything but credits, and no offering anything but books for credits.

The rules only require that the books qualify for media mail, which these do.

I think Brian is well within the boundaries of the bazaar. I think he'll need to offer a better deal to get any hits, though.

Others offer unpostable books for credits - No people are not allowed to ask for credits for unpostables, they are only allowed to offer them free wit h an order. Anything that cannot be posted to you shelf cannot be hawked for PBS credits. In Richard's words in a previous post "Don't hawk your wares (whatever they are) for credits".

The Bazaar is meant for highlighting your shelf or offering deals, it not fortrying to get credits for things you are not allowed to post. If Brian edits to offer a guide free with an order, then he'd be within the boundaries, otherwise I stand by my original post, he is breaking the rule of the site that only books that meet PBS rule can be traded for credits here.

Why exactly would a game strategy guide be unpostable? I know that coloring books, puzzle books, etc., are unpostable, but I see absolutely no reason why something like what Brian is offering would not be postable. I see nothing at all in the help documents saying strategy guides are not allowed. I see that coloring books, calendars, magazines, single- issue comic books, and ARCs are not allowed, but not game strategy guides. So where do you get that they are unpostable?

They are postable and i've traded many on here before.  They are just heavier then a standard paperback and cost more to ship and are harder to wrap so i'd much prefer to trade more then 1 at a time to reduce my shipping costs.

Didn't see any rules against offering books in bundles, i know its allowed on swapadvd forums.

If no one wants them i'll probably just donate them to charity, easier then mailing them individually.  I'd love to work out a deal with someone if they would take a large amount at once.

Yep, game strategy guides do have ISBNs and don't contain advertising so IMHO they are postable.
