The 9th book in the Captain Underpants series, Captain Underpants and the Terrifying Return of Tippy Tinklepants, supposedly came out in 2009, but I have not been able to find it anywhere in the stores or on the internert.

Does anyone here know anything about this book, or perhaps have a copy of it.

I got my grandson the two sets of books for Christmas and he realy wants to read this one.

It is supposed to be the last book in the series.

Thanks for any help you may be able to give me.

Book 8 in the series came out in 2006.  According to several internet sources, the 9th book's publication was pushed back while Dav Pilkey cared for his terminally-ill father.  There is no set release date for book 9 yet that I can find, though rumor has it to be slated for 2012.  There is no mention of the book at all on Dav Pilkey's author website, either.

There is no listing for it on Amazon at all, which means it's not been slated for release.  As soon as the release is set, Amazon usually has a listing up for pre-orders, but there is nothing.  Hopefully this year.
