I thought Amway was a cult? My college roommate and her boyfriend at the time got sucked into it big time. Their eyes glazed over, mouths drooled, and our entire apartment filled up with Amway products. Isn't it a pyramid scheme? You get "brought in" under someone, then you have to recruit other people under you to sell. You then make money off of what they sell. If you don't, you don't make money. Pyramid schemes are illegal. Is buying Amway stuff (like, TP, paper towels, makeup) cheaper than Target or Avon, etc? If not, why do it?

the last 2 people I know doing Amway were more into the 'trick you into coming to meetings' to get 'more legs under them' so yes it was like a pyramid though I think they called it 'multi-level marketing' back then since stuff was actually being sold. that being said I know the products used to be pretty good..actually the cleaning stuff was pricey but it did work really well. Back in the late 70s/early 80s a couple at my parent's church were in amway when the focus seemed more on selling the products and they would donate some to the church..worked really good but that was back when we had phospates in the detergents and ammonia in the windex...in college in the late 80/s early 90s my roommate's parents were in amway and she loved the makeup. so I'd say the products are good if they're anything like they used to be. really good actually but I think they started selling othe rstuf flike peanut butter and clothing kinda like how avon got with the clothes, shoes, jewelry...
