Hey everyone, I received an ARC yesterday and contacted the sender and explained the problem. He says he will refund my credit after I send him back the book. It was my understanding that the credit should be refunded immediately and if he wants the book back he has to send another credit. There is no way I am going to send the book back without the additional credit. Am I incorrect in thinking the refund should be immediate? Thanks for any input and also suggestions as to how to word my request to him! tiger-lily Last Edited on: 6/29/10 10:56 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Never mind! In the amount of time it took me to ask this question, he refunded my credit and said for me to keep the book! Whew! That worked out well! Hope everyone has a great day! Mine just got better! |

Happy your situation was quickly resolved Andrea. You are correct, the receiver is not obligated to return an unpostable book. If you/receiver chooses to return an unpostable book, the sender must first reimburse you for your additional postage costs in a manner agreeable to you both...ie credit, stamps, paypal, etc. |

Thanks, Denise for your reply! Sender ended up being a really nice person who quickly decided to resolve the issue! I love PBS and have been very happy with it since joining a little over a year ago. This was the first ARC I had ever received and I was disappointed, but am back at #1 on the WL for the book, so I know I will probably be offered the book soon. |

Oh boy when I read I thought you got that bad one I had. Never did get my credit back even after sending pictures. Said it wasnt his book, then said I destroyed in then said if I didnt send it back I was telling a lie about it. But he wanted me to pay to send it back, ya right then I would have been out 2 credits. |
