This is a rare volume that takes a contrarian view of management. I enjoyed it when I first read it several years ago and wanted to see if the concepts held it up. They do. Along with Charles Handy and Richard Farson, Jerry Harvey is willing to attack many of the sacred cows that we hold concerning leadership. His thoughts on communication, teamwork, and just how absurd much of the standard thinking about organizational development is, is worth considering.
