I have both - a small credit union for savings (was the original company credit union), the credit union where I bank(doesn't pay much interest but good for emergencies) but I have my checking there as well, and INGDirect.com which is linked to my checking account. The small credit union pays the best interest and I'll probably  up that amount next year. Ing is convenient and pays better than the banking credit union.
