Since I'm in triple digits here on pbs for Mary Balogh's "Matter of Class", I've been looking for ways to get this hardback cheaply.

After being sold out for several weeks, bookdepository.com had it for half price yesterday-and as always free shipping.  So, I caved and purchased it.

Now, my paypal receipt says "paypal uk on it".  Ouch!  Does that mean I'm going to be waiting forever?  Ok, I know I should have asked this question before purchase but I was just so happy to see it for under $8 that I didn't wait.

I know that several of you have used bd-what has been your experience?

TIA

Jan

I've always gotten my stuff pretty fast..not talking 3 days or anything like that but within a few weeks..usually 10 days or so seems like.

I think of all the books that I purchased from The Book Depository a week to 10 days seems to be the average.  They are a bit slower than Amazon in shipping books but I have never had a problem and they are sending overeas.  Also the packages that they send the books in are great for recycling and sending out again when you get a request.

I am on the west coast and have ordered tons of books from them. Delivery was anywhere between 1 and 2 weeks but since they are coming from the UK shipped free I don't mind waiting.

They arrive really fast for overseas.  About 10 days to two weeks.  Each book comes separate.  But I also get dinged by a service charge for a foreign transaction.   They also charge right away for pre ordered books, rather than charge at shipping.

I'm in the Dallas area, and I've gotten all of my books from them on the 7th day from the order.

Me, too.  It doesn't seem to matter at all that it is coming from the UK.  I get the books just as fast as any amazon seller in the US and lots faster than my PBS books.

I noticed they already have Hunting Julian by Jacquelyn Frank, for 3.99. I don't think its been released in the US yet.
